The French born beauty, Aymeline Valade, has been a favorite amongst high-end fashion designers and fashion blogs alike. Her street style credibility paired with her familiarity of the industry only adds to her appeal. Having snagged the role of Betty Catroux, the androgynous Yves Saint Laurent muse in Bertrand Bonello’s fashion biopic, the French fashion model is lending her talents to the silver screen too. The film debuted at the 2014 Cannes film festival and hits the U.S on May 8th, 2015 in select theaters throughout the country.
BASTARD fanzine caught up with Valade on her environmental and human rights activism, she tells us “Nature is the basis for everything. Without nature we have nothing.” Valade shares her fondness of the U.K. based non-profit Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF), and her plans to begin work with Les Petits Frères des Pauvres, a charity that combats the isolation of poor and elderly populations. Proof that a B.A.S.T.A.R.D. is much more than just being a pretty face.
